Unlike similar satellite broadband internet ventures by SpaceX and Oneweb, Lynk's system will not require an enormous investment in millions of antennae on the ground to receive and distribute the signal to users.  Lynk's investors believe it can improve cell service in rural Americas, Asia and Africa for much less money and using smaller satellites.
